Ant Anstead is a British car builder and designer, who became popular for his restoration projects in TV car shows “For the Love of Cars” and “Wheeler Dealers.”

Early life and family

Anthony Richard “Ant” Anstead was born on 28 March 1979, in Plymouth, Devon, England. He spent most of his childhood in Ely, Cambridgeshire, and then the family moved to Hertfordshire when he was 10. Growing up, he liked to build things and get his hands on anything that needed fixing, and said that he must have been a nightmare to his parents because of that. He has three brothers, but nothing else is known about his family.

Education background

He finished his secondary education at Richard Hale School in Hertford, and completed his A‑levels at the Haileybury School which is near Hertford.

Career

First steps

Ant didn’t want to pursue further education at a university, so he joined the Hertfordshire Constabulary when he was 18, and was subsequently stationed at Bishop’s Stortford. With the force understaffed, he was the only one assigned to the area, and said that he had to grow up fast during his two years there. After that, Ant was transferred to the Cheshunt Police Station in the Borough of Broxbourne, and after that made it into the Tactical Firearms Unit (TAU) of Welwyn Garden City at the age of 23, and became one of UK’s youngest armed officers

It was during this time when he faced life-threatening situations, and realized what man is capable of. He was assigned to a safe‑house, and spent time with John Duffy, the serial killer and rapist dubbed by the media as the “railway murderer.”

His decision to become a cop was something he never regretted, as he loved being a police officer. However, he quit the force in 2005 after eight years for various reasons, the main one being the birth of his daughter. He made the choice of pursuing another line of work, saying ‘You only get one life, after all.’ In his eight years of service to Her Majesty, he was given two commendations for bravery.

Passion for car building and restoration

His interest in cars started when he was a young boy and played with Lego and Airfix kits.

He was 16 when he built his first off-the-shelf car kit, so he already knew that he wanted to build cars long before he had his driving license, and knew that he could make money out of it since he was 18. Ant would look for a classic car he could buy, then fix and renovate and resell it afterwards – he worked on this in between shifts in the police.

When he left the force, he turned to car building and restoration full-time to make a living. He built recreation cars at first, then replicas. Most of the cars he built later on were by request, with each one custom‑made to suit the owner’s preferences, including the seating position, pedals and steering wheel to make sure that it would be perfect for the client’s frame and size. This means that each car he made was unique, and comes with a photographic build diary.

It was also UK registered, and went through all the tests to ensure that it met the necessary standards set by the UK government. He had a team working with him on the cars, but has said that he developed his own skills over time, by being hands-on in his projects. He started working for Evanta Motor Company Limited in Hertfordshire in February 2009, then became a partner and director.

Further success

“For the Love of Cars”

In 2013, he was approached by Love Productions to become a TV presenter with the English actor and car enthusiast Philip Glenister, as well as do what he loves best, which is restoring cars. “For the Love of Cars” was a show in which they looked for British cars to restore, followed by a test drive then putting it on auction at the Coys at Kensington for the first series, and at the National Exhibition Center (NEC) in Birmingham for the second series.

It premiered in the UK on Channel 4 in April 2014, and ran for two series for a total of 15 episodes, with the last one aired in June 2015; a special was shown in November 2016. It was a big hit and people were impressed by how natural he was on camera, considering that it was his first time to be on a show. He said that he dealt with real fear such as ‘standing in front of someone who’s armed’ back when he was a policeman, and that made being in front of the camera seem easy, and further added ‘I always remind myself of that, and how lucky I am to be doing what I do.’

His next TV show was in 2015 in BBC Two’s “Building Cars Live”, together with James May and Kate Humble, in which they went to one of the biggest car factories in Britain tor broadcast and talk about the science and engineering of cars.

2016 was also a busy year for him, as he had several shows including Channel 4’s “The World’s Most Expensive Cars”, which he hosted solo. He also tried his hand at co-hosting shows that didn’t have anything to do with cars, such as BBC Two’s documentary, “Chinese New year: Biggest Celebration on Earth,” with Kate Humble; “New York: America’s Busiest City” which was a docuseries about NYC; and “Craft: I Made This.”

“Wheeler Dealers”

The show has been on air since 2003, with car trader, Mike Brewer and mechanic Edd China, with its basic format of Brewer acquiring a car and Chithena doing  repairs or improvements on a set budget, and then selling it. Ant joined the show in 2017, replacing China for series 14 and 15.

His most recent show was Motor Trend’s “Ant Anstead Master Mechanic” (2019), in which he paid tribute to the Alpha Romeo 158 Formula One car by building his own race car using spare parts and donor cars, in just 12 weeks.

Career as a book author

Ant wrote the children’s book entitled “Petrol Head Parenting: The Essential Guide to Diagnosing and Nurturing a Petrol Head” with the illustrations done by Noah Elias, published in January 2018. Ant also penned “Cops and Robbers: The Story of the British Police Car”, about the history and development of British police cars, published in May 2018.

Personal life

Anstead married Louise in 2005 after dating for nine years, and they have two children together, namely Amalie who was born in 2003 and Archie who was born in 2006.

They separated in July 2017, and were officially divorced in October that year.

It was in 2017 when Ant called Christina from the hit reality show, “Flip or Flop,” on the phone and they talked for almost half an hour, then after two days, while he was in Las Vegas for a car trade show, he FaceTimed her and they spoke for more than two hours.  Two days later, the two met for the first time and started dating; they’ve been inseparable since then. They were married on 22 December 2018 at their home in Newport Beach, California – only 70 of their family and closest friends were at the wedding. The intimate ceremony with a winter wonderland theme was kept secret even from their guests, as they thought that they were invited to watch the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade.

Their children were part of the ceremony, as each one prepared a little speech, and Archie and Amalie were Ant’s best man/best woman. They have a son together named Hudson London, who was born on 6 September 2019.

Who is Christina Anstead?

Christina Mursinge Haak was born on 9 July 1983, in Orange County, California. She worked in the real estate industry after college, met Tarek El Moussa in 2005, and married him in 2009. They have children together, namely Taylor born in 2010 and Brayden in 2015. The couple had a real estate agency, The El Moussa Group. Together with their business partner, Pete De Best, they started to flip houses in 2010 and split the profit.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CAg70tjj-CX/

In 2011, Tarek, with the help of his friend, filmed the entire process of house flipping and sent the tape to the production company, Pie Town Productions, which loved it. HGTV signed Tarek and Christina in 2012 to do “Flip or Flop” for 13 episodes, in which they would buy a house, fix it up then flip it in each episode. They were paid $10,000 per episode during the first season. The show was a success and they continued doing it.

The couple announced that they were separating in December 2016 after an incident back in May, when a 911 call was made about a male with a gun who was possibly suicidal according to officials. They apparently had an altercation, and Tarek left home to go hiking ‘to blow off some steam’, taking with him a firearm to protect himself from wild animals, not to harm himself.

A helicopter was used to help locate him on the mountainside. He dropped the weapon when the police officers asked him to do so. The couple released a statement saying that it was all a misunderstanding, and that the cops were called in as a caution.

Tarek filed for divorce in January 2017, and it was finalized a year after in 2018; they have joint custody of their kids. They continued working together in “Flip or Flop,” which was renewed for its ninth season and is scheduled to air in August 2020. The El Moussa Group was said to be dissolved.

Christina starred in her own show, “Christina on the Coast,” which showed her renovating the home of her best friend since junior high, and publicist on its pilot episode followed by doing other people’s homes in Southern California. Its initial broadcast was in May 2019 and the second season premiered in January 2020.

Toni Mahfud Bio: Brother, Ethnicity, Age, Height, Family. Gay?

Published

on

Toni Gabriel Mahfud is a German model, photographer and illustrator, born on 2 December 1994 in Hamburg, Germany. He’s widely known for being a content producer on the social media site Instagram.

Early Life

Although there’s not much information about his parents, it’s known that Toni became interested in art when he was four years old, after his mother bought crayons and other art materials for him.

The next step for Toni was to start watching anime and other media that inspired him to sketch: ‘Started with Anime figures when I one day asked myself, ‘why do these persons have such big eyes and a nose like this? What was the first step to start working on my art to look more realistic?’ I was around 12 at the time. I never went to an art school or anything. I just thought of everything myself.’

Concentrating on creating his own style, Toni improved his work throughout his childhood by experimenting with various techniques and more realistic themes, putting special attention into portraits. However, dedicating his life to art was not his only goal, as he also became interested on modeling, beginning when he was eight years old.

Career

YouTube

In 2011 he started posting his art online, though it was only in 2014 that he created a YouTube channel, on which he shares videos of his artworks creation process, often using watercolors for paints and dark pencils for drawings. His videos are entertaining and relaxing, as he takes a long time to edit them on high speed to catch viewers’ attention, and chooses soothing music fitting the work he’s working on.

Toni’s illustration portfolio on his YouTube account includes his drawings of celebrities, such as actor Channing Tatum and singer Adele. Despite Toni uploading only six videos onto his channel, and hasn’t posted any videos on the platform since 2016, he’s managed to attract more than 100,000 subscribers to date.

Instagram

The photo and short-video platform Instagram has been Toni’s principal tool, to speed his career not only as artist and photographer, but also as model. The first photo he shared on the site was a ladybug drawing posted on 8 May 2012. Since then Toni has continuously posted his art, photographic works and even pictures of his everyday life.

Although his talent has been notable since the start, his early works looked amateur and uncomplicated.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CDtxSqpKSf9/

He never let that stop him though, as he slowly improved his technique and gained more and more followers through it. Some of the many celebrities he has posted drawings of are Rihanna, and top-models Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner.

In recent years Toni has been experimenting more freely with his photographic work, often editing his photos in a very original and particular way. One of his most notable is a picture posted in 2017, on which he appears underwater, with a setting notably enhanced by his editing skills: ‘Back to my underwater walk in Dubai with this incredible location. It’s probably one of my fav pictures’.

To integrate a wholesome and pleasing aesthetic to his Instagram content, Toni is very careful of what he posts, so as not to break the visual equilibrium he has created throughout the years: ‘I always make sure the images fit with the color of my feed.

The page must look harmonious. You should pay attention to this, especially as a beginner.’

Normally he uses a SLR (single-lens reflex) camera for normal posts, though his selfies are often taken with his ‘phone. He also recommends that photographers travel and get out of their comfort zone, to create more original content, giving their work an unexpected turn based on the acquired new perspective of the world: ‘You can photograph things that are different, that you can’t see every day. Simply there’s an insight completely different. And that’s precisely what is interesting for followers’.

Modeling

Toni Mahfud’s looks have been one of the many reasons he has attracted a huge number of followers on his social media accounts.

Instagram particularly has allowed him to show his physical appearance in a more intimate and somewhat artistic way. The first picture of himself he shared on the platform was posted in 2012, which surely caught his followers’ hearts as they were quick to praise him for his appearance.

Never a stranger in receiving those types of comments, Toni has used the fame provided by his looks to pursue a career: not long after posting his first selfie, he began receiving offers from many fashion companies to model their products.

To date, Toni has worked alongside brands such as Hugo Boss, Adidas, Gillette and Daniel Wellington, and gained worldwide fame as one of the most successful male models.

Influencer

As a result of his massive presence on social media, Toni has obtained fame as an influencer as well. Posts of his travels and lifestyle attract many brands interested in collaborating with him to promote their products through his social media.

In an interview with GQ Magazine’s German edition, Toni revealed some of his secrets to creating a loyal and massive following online. In his words, Instagram was built for images and its aesthetic, making quality over quantity essential: ‘What is most important is variety and specialty’.

For beginners he recommends posting once a day, opposed to what Instagrammers with a huge following usually do: ‘In my opinion, if you have a certain number of followers, you don’t necessarily have to post something every day. I don’t do that either.’

In his opinion, visuals shouldn’t be the only thing important for influencers, and he takes time to choose interesting and deep captions for his posts.

Other Collaborations

His artistic work has also caught the attention of companies not only interested in his looks, but in his talent as well. Such is the case of Pepe Jeans London, which in 2016 collaborated with him to create a line of printed denim jeans.

In 2018 Toni worked alongside sports car manufacturer CUPRA Deutschland, and posted a photo on Instagram of it: ‘I don’t know what it is, but when you give me a pen and a piece of paper, its like you’re sinking into another dimension. Very happy to be working on something creative again with @cupra_de ‘s brand new SUV that is launching soon!’

Personal Life

Gay?

On Wattpad Toni Mahfud answered various common questions regarding his personal life. One of those inquiries was about his sexual orientation: ‘I’m not GAY. I’m straight as a perfect line.’

Girlfriend

On 5 April 2013 Toni shared a picture of himself and an unknown woman who was rumored to be his girlfriend, as the post was clearly an anniversary celebration of their relationship. Unfortunately, the pair apparently broke up and he never posted another photo with her.

Toni has shared various pictures accompanied by model Ruhama Negassi, awakening rumors of a possible romantic relationship with her. However, the pair haven’t denied or confirmed if they were together.

He has also been romantically linked with model and influencer Sonia Esman, who in 2015 posted a video on her YouTube channel entitled: ‘Sonya Esman & Toni Mahfud. Miami’. On it the pair can be seen adventuring around the city together, in a somewhat intimate setting.

Family and Ethnicity

Toni has not revealed the identity of his parents, though it’s a known fact that they’re both Syrians. This answers fans’ questions regarding his ethnicity.

Brother

Toni has a twin brother named Jan. Although he is not as active on social media as his brother, and rarely post pictures on his Instagram account, Jan apparently likes to travel, and is fan of Harry Potter.

Net Worth

As a result of his career as a model, illustrator and photographer, Toni Mahfud has accumulated an estimated net worth of $4 million.

Physical Appearance

As expected of a model, Toni Mahfud has a very handsome physical appearance. Although his current weight is unknown, he’s 6ft 1ins (1.85m) tall. His eyes are hazel and his hair is naturally black.

Interesting Facts

He revealed to Forbes his favorite place to spend the summer: ‘Of my fav spots is def Dubai. I’m Arabic, so I always enjoy the Arabic food (especially because it almost taste as good as from back home!). You have super luxury spots, but also really beautiful old areas with a lot of history’.

His many goals in life are to live in Los Angeles, marry and have two kids.

on

Who is Morgana McNelis?

Morgana McNelis is an American artistic and luxury jewelry designer, who is recognized for her own brand – Maison de Morgana. However, she is probably best known for being in a long-term relationship with English actor Charlie Hunnam, renowned for appearing in the TV series “Sons of Anarchy” and in the 2017 movie “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword”.

Early Life, Bio and Education

Morgana McNelis was born under the zodiac sign of Virgo on the 7th September 1983, in the state of Georgia, USA, so of American nationality, and white ethnicity.

She has a sister named Marina Milori. With a strong appreciation for jewelry, yet fascinated by the process of handcrafting, after completing her secondary education, Morgana began attending jewelry crafting lessons. At the age of 20 she enrolled at William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, where she learned advanced crafting techniques as well as working with precious metals. Additionally, she took various courses regarding fashion, art and business administration.

Career

Morgana’s first business endeavor dates back to 2007, when alongside her sister Marina she opened a jewelry store.

However, due to the global financial crisis also referred to as the Great Recession that shook the world between late 2007 and 2009, she was forced to shut it down not long after. She then dived into the fashion industry where she worked as a model.

In 2011, Morgana served as a costume assistant for the thriller horror movie “Isolation”, while later that year she made her debut on-screen as well as behind-the-camera appearance – she produced and appeared in one of the leading roles in the short crime horror film entitled “187: The McKenna Murders”.

In 2012, combining her modeling experience with her sense of fashion, and using her own ‘unconventional’ jewelry crafting methods, Morgana launched her own brand of unique jewelry pieces named Maison de Morgana, located in Los Angeles, California. Her first collection – Black Magik 2012 – was based on mythological foundations, being inspired by the motion pictures covering mythical topics such as legends about King Arthur and Dracula, with a dash of influence from ancient Egypt and the Ottoman Empire.

It consisted of ‘haute noir’ pieces, including necklaces, bracelets, ring and earrings made of white bronze and brass. Influenced by renowned designers, namely Alexander McQueen and Riccardo Tisci, Morgana’s collection quickly attracted customers, including several celebrities such as Zac Efron and Winona Ryder, to name just two.

The unique aesthetics of her pieces caught the eye of the production crew of the FX’s television crime drama series “Sons of Anarchy”, so shortly after her jewelry became featured in the series, worn by members of the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle gang.

In 2013, she created the BC Armor Collection for the Boot Campaign charitable organization. Inspired by WWII and in honor of her grandfather who was a member of the US Air Force, as well as all the fallen American military, it aimed to help to promote patriotism and raise awareness. It featured the star as one of America’s most widely recognized patriotic symbols, consisting of bracelets and necklaces produced using white bronze, brass and sterling silver. All sale revenues from this project were guided towards helping war veterans and their family members.

In 2014, McNelis made a cameo appearance in the short, critically acclaimed comedy drama movie entitled “Acting 101”.

Additionally, the brand specialized in so called ‘bridge’ jewelry, combining elegance with attainability and walking the fine line between luxury and costume jewelry, consisting of pieces combining plain metals with precious stones.

With quality as its paramount as well as its eclectic appearance, Morgana‘s pieces have been featured on the pages of a variety of popular magazines and publications, such as the GQ, US Weekly, Red Book and the Accessories Magazine among others.

In addition to its LA’s stores, the Maison de Morgana brand is present in several major global retail chains, from the States to Europe and Japan.

With her long-term partner, Morgana resides on their ranch in California, where they live far from the media’s attention, cultivating an organic garden and breeding farm animals.

Charles Matthew ‘Charlie’ Hunnam was born on the 10th April 1980, in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, the younger son of Jane Bell and William Hunnam. He enrolled at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Penrith, Cumbria, but was expelled for bad behavior. Later, he attended the Cumbria College of Art and Design, from which he graduated, majoring in history of film and film theory.

Charlie’s first major on-screen appearance occurred in 1999, when he was cast as Nathan Maloney in the TV series “Queer as Folk”, after which he honed his skills through a streak of appearances such as in the title role of the 2002 Golden Globe-nominated film “Nicholas Nickleby”, the 2003 Oscar-winning historic drama movie “Cold Mountain”, as well as the Oscar nominated drama thriller “Children of Men”.

The breakthrough in Hunnam‘s acting career occurred in 2008, when he was cast to portray the leading character of Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller, the leader of the eponymous bike gang in the “Sons of Anarchy” TV series, which he continued through 2014.

Parker McKenna is of Native American, African-American, Italian, and Irish descent. She grew up alongside two siblings, and growing-up in Los Angeles, she became very familiar with the world of acting due to her mother working as an actress. Later on her parents divorced, and while she remained connected to both parents, she remained mostly with her mother, but would later have three half-siblings from through her father.

Even as a toddler, her mother started taking her to auditions, which led to her first professional opportunity, commercial work for the camera company Kodak.

A few years later she resumed doing acting projects as she enjoyed them, leading her to work as a model for several Disney clothing catalogs. She also appeared in a commercial for the brand Old Navy, a clothing company that is a subsidiary of Gap – the store has its main operations within California which led to the opportunity. She also made an appearance in the music video “Sweet Sweet Baby” by Macy Gray.

My Wife and Kids

In 2001, Posey got her first television role at the age of six, as a guest in the series “NYPD Blue”. The police procedural show aired from the 1990s up to the mid-2000s, following the story of a detective squad working as a part of a fictional precinct within Manhattan.

The show was very popular during its time, gaining praise for its realistic storylines and its inherent grittiness.

However, it was her next project that launched her career, as she was cast in the sitcom “My Wife and Kids” as Kady, the youngest family member. The sitcom aired on ABC for five seasons, and starred Damon Wayans as the patriarch of an upper middle-class family whose members are semi-dysfunctional. The show portrays his unusual parenting, the events that the family goes through, and his impartation of life lessons using humor. The show was an unexpected hit, and won numerous awards during its run.

It became syndicated internationally, first airing in Canada and the UK before many other parts of the world. The show also starred Tisha Campbell-Martin, George O. Gore II, and Jennifer Freeman. For her performances, Parker was nominated for two Young Artist Awards.

Life After My Wife and Kids

While the show was very popular for a few years, interest in it eventually died down, and coupled with the desire of Wayans to pursue other projects, the show was canceled in 2005. While working on the show Parker also had a few guest roles, including an appearance in the series “Strong Medicine”. The show was known for its focus on feminist issues, along with its overarching medical theme.

Following the end of “My Wife and Kids”, she mostly did television movies, and was seen in projects such as “Meet the Santas” and “Summer Camp”.

She also made an appearance in the show “iCarly”, a sitcom that aired on Nickelodeon starring Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy. It follows the story of a teenage girl who creates a web show called iCarly alongside her best friends; the show tackles her rise to fame as an internet star, while also dealing with problems often encountered in adolescence. In 2007, she made her film debut playing the character Elizabeth in “Alice Upside Down”, based on the book series “Alice” written by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor.

The film had a limited screening before it was released straight to video. Stars of the film included Alyson Stoner, Lucas Grabeel and Bridgit Mendler.

Hiatus and Return

As Posey approached her teenage years, she focused a lot on theatre acting, appearing in a production of “Restless Peace”, then working with the Blank Theatre Company in a production of “Shock Therapy”. Wanting to complete her education and take a break from acting, she then went on a hiatus for six years to do just that.

While there was speculation that she wouldn’t return, she then made her presence known once more as a young adult, creating public accounts on various social media platforms.

Her return marked a very different image from her younger years, as she showed a more sensual side of herself, as she’d worked on her figure and her image a lot more. This soon led to her return to acting in the film “This Is Real”, before appearing in “Streets of Money”. Afterwards, she made an appearance in the series “Snowfall” which aired on FX – set during the 1980s, and deals with the crack epidemic in Los Angeles.

Personal Life

In 2013, rumors were spread by blogger Sandra Rose claiming that Parker McKenna is bisexual, prompting her mother to respond, stating that she is straight and in a relationship with actor Mandela Van Peebles.

Their relationship quickly became public. and they stayed together for two years before separating. Shortly afterwards, she was spotted dating rapper Problem, spending time in Hawaii together, but nothing much came out of it. In 2018, she was romantically linked with YouTube personality Chris Sails, but it didn’t turn into a relationship.

Apart from her acting work, she spends a lot of time helping various charities, particularly with the Stand Up to Cancer Foundation which she has supported for over six years. She also aspires to create a non-profit organization herself one day.
