Kennya was raised as a single child in Brazil by her father, Eumir Deodato, who is a famous Brazilian composer and a pianist, who won a Grammy Award for his achievements in music. Kennya met Stephen in 1987 when they were introduced by a mutual friend while riding the subway, and after three years of being together, they married in a small ceremony attended by their closest friends and family. Kennya gave birth to their first daughter Alaia on 24 January 1993, while their second child Hailey followed on 22 November 1996 – both girls have become models. They were homeschooled due to having to travel often because of Stephen’s work; Alaia married Andrew Aronow in the second half of 2017.
After giving birth to Alaia, Kennya hired a Portuguese nanny who kept singing Christian songs around the house, and later told Kennya that she had a vision which told her that she would come to work for the Baldwins and that she would help them become Christians again. He is an actor, film producer and author, probably still best known for having starred in the western series “The Young Riders” from 1989 to 1992 which also starred Josh Brolin and Ty Miller and which is about several riders of the Pony Express. The series won six awards, including two Primetime Emmys, and was nominated for five others.
Stephen was raised in Massapequa alongside his two sisters, Jane Sasso and Elizabeth Keuchler, and three older brothers Alec, Daniel and William, all three of whom have become famous actors. Their parents are Carol Newcomb who was a housewife, and Alexander Rae Baldwin, Jr. who was a high school teacher and a football coach.
