Tonia Sotiropoulou is a Greek actress and a model, who is probably best known for being a ‘Bond girl‘ – she appeared opposite Daniel Craig in the 2012 movie from the world of ‘Bond, James Bond’ entitled “Skyfall”. Besides this major accomplishment, she is widely recognized for starring in the TV fantasy comedy series “Lola”, and for appearing in movies such as “Berberian Sound Studio”, “Hercules” (2014) and “Waiting Room” (2018).
Early Life and Education
Tonia Sotiropoulou was born under the astrological sign of Taurus on the 28th April 1987, in Athens, Greece. She is of white ethnicity, and apart from being of Greek nationality, she also has some Cypriot ancestry.
Upon completing her secondary education, she enrolled at the School of Contemporary Theater of Athens run by renowned Greek actor and director Giorgos Kimoulis. However, she dropped out before obtaining her degree, and eventually enrolled at K.E.A Drama School. At the age of 20, Tonia briefly resided in Berlin, Germany, before moving to London, England, where she pursued her acting career full time.
Tonia’s debut acting engagement occurred in 2007 when she landed a role in the Greek comedy movie “Cool” (also known under the title “Psyhraimia”). Kostis Maraveyas was born on the 13th May 1974 in Agrinio, Greece, and is a multi-media personality – he is not only a musician but a singer, songwriter, composer as well as a writer, TV presenter and producer. He attended the University of Bari in Italy, where he studied mathematics and statistics, as well as the Conservatory of Niccolò Piccini.
In 2001 he debuted as a solo performer, and in 2003 released his first album “Radiopiratis”, which received positive reviews from fans. In 2012, Maraveyas Ilegál released his fourth studio album simply entitled “Lola”, which was followed by the eponymous novel. In 2014, he made his directorial debut with the TV documentary series “Mousiki Pantou”, and was also rewarded with the Best Composer accolade by the Athinorama People’s Choice Theatre Awards, for his work on the stage play based on Moliére eponymous comedy “Filargyros”. Between 2017 and 2019, he served as one of the judges on the TV talent show “The Voice of Greece”.
As a skillful musician, he is proficient in playing piano, guitar and accordion, and can sign in four languages including Greek, English, Italian and Spanish.
