The Wealth of Sarah Greene
As of mid-2020, Sarah Greene’s net worth is estimated to be over $1 million, earned through success in numerous acting endeavors since 2006. She has also ventured into voice-acting, working on several AAA video game titles.
Early Life, Education, and Career Beginnings
Sarah grew up in Cork, and didn’t think much of an acting career until her parents took her to see a theatre performance of “Red Riding Hood”. She became interested in the performing arts, and with the support of her parents, she took her first acting classes at the CADA drama school, which is known for helping to produce several international stars.
Growing up, she developed her skills by participating in local musicals and plays, while supplementing it with formal acting lessons. Her debut appearance was in “The King and I” in Cork, then after her studies in CADA, she moved to Dublin to study at the Gaiety School of Acting.
The drama school was created by actor Joe Dowling in the late 1980s, as there were no immediately accessible acting schools in the area available for those aspiring to work the profession. After graduating in 2006, she quickly sought work, making her television debut in “Bachelors Walk” in a minor unnamed role.
Continued Acting Work
In 2008 Greene made her film debut in the independent feature “Eden”, before getting her first mainstream project in “Love and Savagery” playing the character Cathleen – the film was a Canadian collaboration and starred Allan Hawco. She portrays his character’s love interest, an orphan who is set to become a nun. Around the same time, she also worked on her first notable theatre project, “The Playboy of the Western World”.
Its story is about a young man who runs away from his farm during the 1900s claiming he has killed his father, but doesn’t attract the supposed consequences of his deeds.
In the 2010s, she started to gain more notable roles in film, as seen in “The Guard” which starred Don Cheadle and Brendan Gleeson. She also made a guest appearance in “The Assets”.
The plays she worked on during this period include “Little Gem” and “Between Foxrock and a Hard Place”.
